GoPro Hero5 Black is allegedly the “simply the best GoPro, ever,” according to the company. Perhaps they are not entirely wrong when you look at the features it offers for $400.
GoPro Hero5 Black:
The camera will be available from October 2nd onwards.
The flagship camera costs $399 while the smaller session costs $100 cheaper at $299.
CEO Nick Woodman launched both GoPro’s Karma Drone and GoPro Hero5 Black. The big highlight of Hero5 is that it’s waterproof. Out of the box and without a casing of any kind, it’s waterproof to 10 meters.
The new one-button design makes the camera sleek and user-friendly. Another highlight of the device is the voice control feature. According to Go Pro, it allows users to “stay at the moment”. At launch, the feature was available in 7 languages. Using one of these seven languages, you can order Hero5 Black to start recording videos, take pictures, etc.
At the launch, Woodman said the goal of the team was to make a camera that “disappears”. The camera is so easy to use that you forget that you are actually using a camera.
Speaking of the specifications, the GoPro Hero5 Black can capture 4K at up to 30fps, WDR for pulling detail out of highlights and shadows, 12MP RAW photos, built-in GPS, 30fps burst and time-lapse modes, even exposure compensation controls, and built-in digital video stabilisation.
